GAEP Field Trip with The Conservation Fund

Join us for a guided field trip led by
Stacy Funderburke, Vice President, Central Southeast Region at The Conservation Fund. Stacy will discuss the ecological and conservation significance of Lake Charlotte Nature Preserve and The Conservation Fund’s role in protecting this area.

This free event includes a walk on the preserve trails, opportunities to learn about local conservation work, and an informal happy hour to follow.

Parking Location
Near the Lake Charlotte Nature Preserve Main Entrance
Put 2965 Forrest Park Rd SE into your GPS and park along the street. Meet at the main entrance sign at 2 PM. We encourage carpooling! 

What to Expect

  • Guided walking tour of the preserve led by Stacy Funderburke of The Conservation Fund
  • Discussion of site history, ecology, and restoration efforts
  • Networking with environmental professionals
  • Approx. 1.5–2‑mile easy trail walk
