CALYX Engineers and Consultants, an NV5 company, is seeking a full-time Junior Environmental Scientist for our Roswell, GA office. This position will provide assistance to project managers, engineers, and senior environmental scientists with general ecological field surveys, wetland and stream delineations, state and federal protected species surveys, environmental permit preparation (USACE 404 permits and GAEPD buffer variance applications), scientific data interpretation, technical report writing, and planning tasks for the Ecology Group. The most frequent and essential work activities include: responsible for task management, conduct ecology field investigations and data collection, provide technical report writing, and complete project tasks within deadlines and budgets.

The selected candidate for this position will apply their ecological and environmental knowledge and experience toward the assessment of project sites, along with preparation of reports and regulatory applications. This position will support projects and manage tasks in the field and in the office, performing and leading natural resource surveys collecting and analyzing data, preparing and reviewing reports, and interacting with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies.
