About GAEP

Georgia Chapter Function and Purpose:

The primary function of GAEP is be to enhance, maintain, and protect the quality of the natural and human environment through cooperation with the National Association of Environmental Professionals (NAEP). The specific purpose of GAEP is to encourage and facilitate full participation in NAEP and GAEP goals and activities by all persons qualified to be members of GAEP and NAEP and to include the widest range of views and concerns of professionals engaged in the environmental field. Finally, the purpose of GAEP is to advance professionalism in environmental planning and reporting in the State of Georgia.

GAEP Mission:

GAEP seeks to advance professionalism among Georgia‚Äôs environmental practitioners by promoting a holistic understanding of environmental issues by creating forums for the discussion of issues and ideas, providing multidisciplinary continuing education, sharing innovative solutions, and developing relationships with other environmental professionals in Georgia and nationwide.
